Ingredients
- ⅔ Ham hock
- 1 c. white navy beans
- 2 quarts water
- ⅓ c. chopped parsley
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 large onion or 1 medium
- 2 green onions
- 4 large carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- 10 peppercorns
- 1 small hot pepper
Instructions
- Cook ham hock until tender
- Add navy beans and water
- Boil 30 minutes
- Add remaining ingredients
- Cook until vegetables are tender
- Stir in ⅓ to 1 c. sour cream, just enough to suit your taste.
