Ingredients
- 1 can fruit cocktail, large can (#3, diet)
- 2 envelopes plain gelatin
- ¾ c. sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- ¼ c. lemon juice
- 1 c. fruit juice
- 1 pt. Emo or sour cream
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- ½ tsp. almond extract
- ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
- Drain fruit, reserve 1 c juice.
- Heat juice, stir in gelatin until dissolved
- Add ½ c sugar and egg yolks
- Cook for 3 minutes
- Add sour cream or Emo
- Add remaining ingredients except fruit
- Chill
- When thickened add fruit
- Beat egg whites with ¼ c. sugar
- Stir together
- Cool until set
